Alcohol Addiction Treatment

.

Alcohol addiction, also referred to as alcohol misuse, alcohol dependence, or Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD), is a complex and long-lasting brain condition. It impacts not only the individual struggling with alcohol use but also their loved ones. It can create difficulties in relationships, at work, and at school, and overcoming it can be extremely challenging.

What’s important to understand is that alcohol addiction can be treated.

Our treatment programs are designed to help individuals stop drinking and maintain sobriety. We provide medically supported detox services to help manage alcohol withdrawal safely, as well as psychiatric care to address harmful behaviors and patterns. We also help patients recognize triggers, including specific people, places, and situations that may lead to drinking, and develop skills to manage or avoid them.

People seeking alcohol rehabilitation can receive personalized treatment planning, counseling, and clinical care through our substance use program. At our facilities, we focus on treating the entire person rather than only the condition itself. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual's needs and recovery goals, both short term and long term. Depending on those needs, treatment may include medically supervised detoxification, talk therapy, and recreational therapy. Patients also have the opportunity to participate in peer support programs, such as Alcoholics Anonymous.

Inpatient Substance Use Treatment

For some people, recovery begins with inpatient care. If alcohol use has had a significant impact on your health, this level of treatment allows our team to carefully monitor you during withdrawal and detox. Medication may be recommended to help manage symptoms and support your physical and emotional comfort as your body adjusts to life without alcohol.

During your stay, you'll participate in therapy sessions focused on issues that matter to your recovery. We also offer therapeutic activities such as art, music, and yoga. These experiences can help you build healthy routines and stay actively engaged throughout the day.

Outpatient Substance Use Treatment

If inpatient care isn't the right fit for your needs, our flexible outpatient substance use treatment programs may be an option. Some individuals begin care in an outpatient setting, while others continue treatment there after completing an inpatient program. Services may include medication management, behavioral therapy, expressive therapies, and peer support.

We offer two outpatient program options to meet different levels of need. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides structured, short-term support for individuals who need a higher level of care while continuing to manage responsibilities at home, work, or school. The program typically runs for two to four weeks and offers both daytime and evening schedules.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets for at least nine hours each week and helps participants focus on long-term recovery goals. Both programs include medication management, therapy, and relapse prevention support.

How Our Alcohol Addiction Treatment Works

Recovery begins with a private assessment and consultation with one of our experienced behavioral health professionals. Assessments are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone or chat, and walk-in appointments are welcome at any time.

During the assessment, we'll discuss what's been happening in your life, including any concerns, challenges, or physical symptoms you may be experiencing. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about your treatment options. Our immediate focus is helping you feel safe and medically stable. We'll also talk with you about any co-occurring mental health concerns, such as anxiety or depression.

Using the information gathered during your assessment, our team of physicians, nurses, therapists, and other specialists will create a personalized plan for your care. If you choose to begin treatment with us, your plan will be adjusted as your needs and progress evolve. Throughout the process, your care team will provide guidance and support at every stage of recovery. Treatment may include a combination of therapy, medication management, and education focused on health and wellness.

Ongoing Care & Support

Recovery doesn't end when treatment is complete. Continued support and access to recovery resources can play an important role in maintaining long-term progress. Our team is committed to helping individuals stay connected to the encouragement and support they need after completing one of our programs.

We can also help connect you with community-based recovery resources, including meetings offered through Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and other ongoing support services.
