Outpatient Mental Health Services
Living with a mental health condition can feel challenging, but every step toward feeling better is meaningful progress.
Our outpatient mental health treatment programs at Brentwood Behavioral Health offer flexible, supportive care designed to help you develop effective coping skills, recognize triggers, build healthier responses and gain a higher quality of life. While some people begin outpatient treatment after completing an inpatient program, others choose outpatient care as their starting point. We understand that every journey is different and provide support and flexibility to help you every step of the way.
We aim to make treatment as accessible as possible, so our team will work through any potential barriers with you and find solutions whenever possible. With flexible scheduling options and payment plans, we strive to make care available and affordable.
Whatever brings you to treatment, we’re here to help you take the next step.
What We Treat
Our outpatient programs provide care for several mental health conditions, including:
Our outpatient programs begin with a comprehensive assessment of your mental and physical health. Our team will use what we learn about your symptoms, needs and goals to recommend a treatment plan designed for you. Your care may include a combination of talk therapy, holistic therapies, support groups and medication management.
Dual Diagnosis for Co-Occurring Disorders
Mental health conditions and substance use disorders can occur at the same time. If you’re experiencing both, we can develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses all of your needs and symptoms.
What Does Outpatient Mental Health Treatment Look Like?
Outpatient treatment is designed to provide meaningful support while allowing you to continue with many of your everyday responsibilities. Your treatment may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness training, family education and counseling, fitness and wellness education and other therapeutic activities.
Whether you’re transitioning from inpatient care or beginning with outpatient care, your treatment plan may include one of two programs:
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides structured, comprehensive treatment during the day or evening. It’s designed for people who need a higher level of support while continuing to manage work, school or other daily responsibilities.
PHP typically lasts two to four weeks and meets five to six days per week. Each day includes multiple treatment sessions, including individual therapy. You’ll also have opportunities to participate in holistic activities such as art, music and yoga, and spend time outdoors on our beautiful grounds.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets three to five days each week for a minimum of nine hours per week. Your treatment may include group therapy, medication management, skill development and long-term recovery planning. Throughout the program, you’ll explore topics such as recognizing triggers and warning signs, strengthening self-esteem, developing coping skills, understanding the stages of relapse and learning how to better manage emotions and moods.
As you prepare to complete the program, we’ll work with you and your aftercare provider to coordinate any continuing treatment you may need, helping create a smooth transition to the next stage of your care.
Next Steps
We build your outpatient treatment around your individual needs, experiences and goals.
Before beginning treatment, you’ll complete a comprehensive assessment with our team. We’ll learn about your physical and mental health history, current symptoms and other factors that may affect your care. This information will help us determine the most appropriate treatment approach for you. Assessments are available 24/7 by phone and we accept walk-ins at any time.
After your initial assessment, we’ll work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan and help you begin moving toward recovery.
