Infection Prevention
Protecting Your Health and Safety
At Brentwood Springs, the health and safety of our patients, staff, providers, volunteers and visitors is top priority. We maintain safety and infection prevention practices and adjust our approach as needed based on public health guidance and conditions within our community.
Our safety measures include:
- Screening patients for symptoms of illness. Visitor screening may also be implemented based on community transmission levels and public health recommendations.
- Providing hand sanitizer and other hand hygiene supplies throughout the facility.
- Using hospital-approved, professional-grade disinfectants to regularly clean and sanitize surfaces.
- Making personal protective equipment, including face masks, available as needed.
- Limiting visitation during periods of increased community transmission when necessary to help protect our patients.
Helping Protect Our Patients
Visitors and loved ones can help us maintain a healthy environment by following these simple precautions:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
- If you’re feeling unwell, have a fever or have recently been exposed to someone who is sick, please wait to visit until you are feeling better. This helps protect our patients and prevent the spread of illness.
Everyday Ways to Protect Your Health
Small steps can make a difference in protecting your health and the health of those around you:
- Wash your hands regularly.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Stay up to date on recommended immunizations based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health authorities.
- Consider wearing a mask or social distancing in crowded settings, particularly when respiratory illnesses are circulating.
- Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
- If you develop symptoms of a respiratory illness, consider getting tested and seek medical care when appropriate.
- Stay home from work, school and other activities when you are feeling sick.
