Connecting With Your Loved One During Treatment

Your support can play an important role in your loved one’s recovery and well-being during their time at Brentwood Behavioral Health. Throughout treatment, they’ll be cared for by a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, patient care assistants and medical professionals working together to meet their individual needs. Alongside this team, family and friends can be an essential part of their support system, offering encouragement and connection throughout the recovery process.

With your loved one’s permission and the guidance of their care team, you may have opportunities to be involved in their treatment. Your participation can help strengthen their support system and remind them that they don’t have to navigate recovery alone.

Visitation Guidelines

To help make visitation safe and smooth for everyone, please review the following guidelines before your visit:

  • Visitors must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled visitation time to allow for check-in.
  • At check-in, visitors will be asked to provide the required information to reception.
  • One designated visitor, age 18 or older, is permitted per patient for the duration of the patient's stay. The designated visitor cannot be changed between visits.
  • Visitors must provide the patient ID number for all visits and phone calls.
  • Any items brought for a patient will be held until the visitation has ended.
  • For safety and privacy, visitors must secure all personal belongings, including phones, wallets, keys and smartwatches, etc. in a designated locker. A locker key will be provided and must remain at the reception desk until visitation has ended.
  • Visitors will line up five minutes before the scheduled visitation time and will undergo a security screening before entering.
  • Visitors who arrive 30 minutes or more after visitation begins will not be permitted to enter.

Visiting hours are provided in the schedule below. A patient’s ability to receive phone calls may vary based on their schedule and phone availability. When leaving a voicemail, please provide your full name and the patient code. Messages will be relayed to the patient as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: Patients have the right to decide who may receive information about their stay at Brentwood Behavioral Health. Please respect each patient’s privacy and wishes regarding access to information.

Visiting Hours

Cedar Unit:

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:30 pm
Saturday Family Education: 12:30 pm
Saturday Family Visitation: 1:30 pm

Willow Unit:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 pm
Sunday Family Education: 1:00 pm
Sunday Family Visitation: 2:00 pm

Patient Items and Belongings

The following items may be brought with a patient or dropped off for them during their stay:

  • Medications: All current medications, including over-the-counter medications and inhalers.
  • Clothing:Up to five sets of clothing, including underwear and socks.
    • Clothing must not have drawstrings, shoestrings or other ties.
    • Washers and dryers are available on the care areas for patients to use.
  • Nightwear: Pajamas or other appropriate sleepwear.
  • Sweater or jacket: One sweater or jacket for added warmth.
  • Jewelry: A small amount of jewelry is permitted, including wedding bands, small post earrings and one necklace.
  • Cigarettes: Only unopened packs of cigarettes are permitted.
